Donetsk, Aug 27 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry engineers found and rendered harmless nearly 428 unexploded ordnance pieces over the past week, the Ministry’s public relations and international activity department head Natalia Getova said on Monday.
“The Emergencies Ministry Fireworks Department team was given 56 assignments over the past week; 428 pieces of unexploded ordnance were found and defused,” Getova said.
Over the designated period the engineers examined 295 hectares of territory including farmland and more than 11,000 square metres of room area. They also checked 100 kilometres of roads.
The DPR has been carrying non-stop demining. Hazardous objects include unexploded mortar and artillery rounds, grenades, parts of missiles etc. *jk
