Donetsk, Sep 18 — DAN. A delegation of the Donetsk People’s Republic has arrived in Sochi for the 27th Modern Journalism forum “All Russia 2023, ” chairman of the DPR branch of the Russian Union of Journalists Viktor Petrenko said on Monday.

“We’re preparing a presentation of the Republican Media Holding and our mass media outlets, ” Petrenko told the Donetsk News Agency. “The DPR delegation comprises seven persons including television and printed media representatives.”

The forum will open on Tuesday. A discussion of media development in the new regions will take place on September 19. The speakers are the chairpersons of the associations of journalists of the Donbass Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

The forum program comprises more than 80 master classes, exhibitions, lectures, round table talks, contests and film shows. Russian mainstream media executives, war correspondents and journalists from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey are expected to deliver speeches. The participants will discuss the best experience of Russian journalists and publishing houses, TV interviews, the capabilities of Telegram, social media and neural networks, the coverage of Russian events abroad, changes in the law, protection of journalists’ rights and media research.

The forum, organized by the Russian Union of Journalists will run until September 23 and is expected to gather more than 1,000 participants.*jk
