Donetsk, Nov 29 – DAN. DPR courts of general jurisdiction have reviewed 56,334 civil cases and case files, said deputy chairman of the DPR Supreme Court, deputy head of criminal court chamber Dmitry Eremin.
"As of 31 October 2017, DPR courts of general jurisdiction accepted 67,864 cases and case files, including 12,354 criminal cases and case-files. Courts reviewed 56,334 cases."
From January to October, the Supreme Court reviewed 4,244 cases appealed in cassation, including 1,623 criminal cases and 102 administrative offenses.
DPR established courts of general jurisdiction and arbitrary court on 22 October 2014. The first 44 judges were appointed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko on 9 January 2015. Currently a court of appeal does not exist in the Republic. *ot
