DPR courts review over 10,000 cases in 2018

Donetsk, Apr 4 – DAN. DPR courts have reviewed over 10,000 cases and case files this year, said  the principal deputy chairman of the DPR Supreme Court Nikolay Tokarenko.

“In 2018, DPR courts had 22,647 cases and case files in docket; courts have reviewed 10,079 cases and case files.”

Courts of general jurisdiction have imposed 471 sentences concerning 526 individuals; 524 of them have been convicted, while two have been acquitted.

In 2017, the docket of the Supreme Court stood at 90,943 cases.

DPR established courts of general jurisdiction and arbitrary court on 22 October 2014. The first 44 judges were appointed by DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko’s decrees No 2 and 3 dated 9 January 2015. *ot
