Donetsk, May 29 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic coaches will take UEFA D License courses, DPR Football Union president Igor Petrov told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“The DPR has begun the first ever selection of candidates for the UEFA D License which allows holders to coach children's and junior teams,” Petrov said adding that the courses and the examination would be held in Donetsk in August.

During the five-day course, the participants will learn the coaching basics such as training session organisation, work with players etc. During the examination, the prospective coaches will have to show both their knowledge of theory and practical kills. After obtaining the license, DPR specialists will be able to work as children’s football coaches in UEFA countries, he added.

Russian Football Union representatives will provide training and act as examiners. The group will include at least 30 coaches.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is the governing body of football in Europe and some western regions of Asia bringing together national associations of a number of countries. Initially, the UEFA had 25 members; currently it has 55.*jk
