Donetsk, Jul 30 - DAN. DPR begins rollout of Sputnik Light vaccine, deputy Minister of Health Alexander Oprishenko said.
"Vaccination centers in Donetsk opened at 8 a.m. on Friday," the Ministry said citing the minister.
The vaccines are being delivered to vaccination centers across the Republic, the shipments are to be finished by the end of the day.
Residents will be invited for inoculation in accordance with the booking order.
A new batch of Sputnik Light vaccines was delivered to the DPR late on July 28. The shipment comprises more than 86,000 doses.
Sputnik Light is a single dose COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. It consists of the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine, which is based on the Ad26 vector.
The single dose Sputnik Light vaccine demonstrated 79.4% efficacy according to analyzed data taken from 28 days after the injection was administered as part of Russia’s mass vaccination program between 5 December 2020 and 15 April 2021.
