Donetsk, Apr 6 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic launched a preliminary round of I Love You, Life contest, a song festival meant to bring together participants from DPR and Kiev-controlled territory.
“The Republic is hosting I Love You, Life song contest-festival feting People’s Artist of USSR and DPR Iosif Kobzon,” DPR Culture Ministry press service said. “All residents are welcome to take part, including those in Kiev-controlled territory as part of the humanitarian programme for Donbass people reunification,” the press service said.
Applications are taken from solo singers, duets and song groups. Contests will be held for each of the three categories. Participants’ age can range between ten to 35. Contest registration deadline is 12 May 2017.
The festival will last for three months. It comprises the applications stage, selection of contestants by audition and a gala concert.
The organizers are personnel of DPR Culture Ministry, Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Solovyanenko, Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic and Donetsk republican culture and arts teacher resource centre.
