DPR allocates 85 mln rubles for the V-Day payments to veterans

Donetsk, Apr 23 – DAN. Over 33 thousand WWII veterans and persons entitled to similar social aid will receive lump sum payments for the V-Day, said the director of state social aid department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Tatyana Litvinenko.

"The V-Day payments have become a DPR tradition. This year, 33.5 thousand people will receive the total of 85 mln rubles."

The payments range from 1,500 to 12,000 rubles depending on the recipient's category. Those eligible can receive their allocations until June 30.

Veterans living in the Kiev-controlled territory are also eligible for payments under the humanitarian program for the reunification of the Donbass people. Latest reports show that 1.5 mln rubles have already been distributed among the WWII participants living in the Kiev-controlled territory. *ot
