Donetsk, Dec 25 - DAN. The Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) will resume operation on December 26 if the Ukrainian army holds its fire in this area, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination said on Tuesday.
“On December 26, the DFS will resume operation on the condition that the Ukrainian army observes the ceasefire and mine clearance is successful. The DFS personnel has been evacuated as of now,” the JCCC report said.
JCCC monitors said that a repair team had detected two power cable ruptures during an inspection. The repairs cannot be effected without demining. The power outage occurred due to adverse weather conditions.
The DFS was left without electricity on Tuesday morning.*jk
