Donetsk, Sep 11 - DAN. The Donetsk Republic social movement operates branches in a number of Ukrainian towns, DR Central Executive Committee chairman Alexey Muratov said in an interview with the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.

“We have branches not only in Slavyansk, but also in many Ukrainian towns and elsewhere,” said Muratov in response to the question about the DR plans to expand its activity.

Meanwhile DR activists represent the social movement in Donetsk People's Republic legislative, executive and municipal bodies which provides for efficient work and fast response to the needs of the population.

“Also, the Republic’s residents can contact 37 liaison offices of the movement’s chairman, DPR Head Denis Pushilin which function in all DPR towns and districts. The hotline and online reception on the DR official website are available. Communication with the population runs non-stop. Every call is recorded. Most problems are settled on the spot,” Muratov said.

The Donetsk Republic social movement was established in the DPR in the autumn of 2014. It currently brings together more than 215,000 people. The DR engages in political and public activities and organises social projects and cultural events. It is represented by the largest faction in the Republic’s parliaiment.*jk
