Donetsk, May 7 – DAN. The DPR Donetsk Republic social movement has endorsed a draft development project Donbass Power, which is to become the basis for the Republic's leader election campaign.
The document was approved at the social movement meeting in the Donetsk Musical and Drama Theatre, where 520 delegates were present including the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.
"The activists of the movement have done a huge job. The Donbass Power development program is a key for the state's development. The strategy shall be implemented, we shall be living in it for the next five years," Zakharchenko said.
He said that the aim is to complete the process of nation building, strengthen economy and financial institutions, and reconstruct ruined towns, enterprises and social sphere.
Overall, 400 thousand people have participated in discussions of the program in the course of nearly 5,000 meetings, bringing forward about 4,000 propositions.
At the Donetsk Republic’s March 1 conference its chairman DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko called for drawing a long-term DPR development strategy and its broad public discussion. The project was named the Power of Donbass. The Donetsk News Agency website hosts Donetsk Republic’s polls to gather residents’ recommendations concerning the program. *ot
