Donetsk, Dec 5 - DAN. A national New Year Magic disco and fireworks will be arranged in Donetsk’s central square for city residents and guests on December 31, city administration officials told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
“The traditional national disco New Year Magic with games, quizzes and outdoor dances to well-known hits, as well as the round dance with the Santa, performances and shows will take place in Donetsk’s Lenin Square from 19:00 till midnight on December 31,” the administration said.
Music, lighting etc will be provided by deejays, the City Hall said adding that New Year fireworks would be arranged as well. City cultural facilities will host various performances, concerts, shows, exhibitions and charity actions ahead of the holiday.
On top of that, an entertainment programme featuring fairs, New Year shows, contests and quizzes will run in the city’s central square from December 22 till December 28. DPR authorities have made transportation arrangements for children from frontline and remote areas to come and take part in New Year celebrations.
Earlier reports said that the the Christmas tree in central Donetsk will light up on December 21.*jk
