Donetsk, Dec 5 - DAN. Activists of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have set up a public commission to assess the damage caused by Ukrainian army strikes.
Earlier in the day several dozen Donbass Republics residents gathered at Donetsk school No 63. “I understand the commission’s significance because our school, as the whole Kuibyshevskiy district repeatedly came under fire. It’s time to make Ukraine pay the bills; let them restore what they destroyed,” deputy school director Valentina Pashentseva said.
On November 5, 2014, an artillery round exploded on the school football pitch killing two children.
DPR Lawyers Council Anastasia Butorkina was elected chairwoman of the 19-member commission which will help residents to file damages claims and send them to the European Court of Human Rights.
In the second half of November, residents of Donetsk and Yasinovataya sued Ukraine at the European Court of Human Rights for the damage caused by Ukrainian army strikes.*jk
