Donetsk, Jan 28 - DAN. Russian Donbass, a two-day international forum which will adopt the doctrine of the state policy of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics for the first time, has opened at Donetsk’s Slavic Culture Centre.
Overall, the event gathered some 400 people including DPR and LPR leaders Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, Russian parliamentarians Andrey Kozenko and Kazbek Taisayev, political scientists, university teachers, researchers, culture figures and activists.
The DPR and LPR leaders will address the participants shortly.
The forum will run on the following four platforms: “Donbass Historical Past,” “Modern Period in Donbass Development,” “Our Future with Russia” and “Opinion.” Participants then will discuss ways of practical implementation of the Doctrine.
Round table discussions on Friday will focus on “Ideology, Culture and Values of the Russian World as Unifying Bond of Russia and Donbass” and “Security of Russian Civilisation in Global Geopolitical Turbulence.”
The Doctrine draft was published on January 20.
On December 13, 2020, DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced the establishment of the cultural and historical doctrine “Russian Donbass” as the Republic's ideological platform. Seven discussions of the doctrine involved some 500 people, including research community representatives, teachers, political scientists, parliamentarians and activists.*jk
