Donetsk, Feb 1 - DAN. The Donbass Post state-owned enterprise plans to issue 20 new stamps this year, the press service of the state enterprise said on Friday.

“Donbass Post is making an official presentation of the plan to issue franking notes, envelopes and stamps this year,” the press service said. “It is releasing 20 new stamps devoted to outstanding personalities, important events, dates and professional holidays.”

A stamp will commemorate the 140th birthdate of outstanding Soviet statesman Joseph Stalin who led the USSR from 1924 till 1953. A block will be devoted to the 50th birthdate of well-known Ukrainian political writer Oles Buzina, a series of stamps will celebrate great figures of the Donetsk Region’ and a stamp will mark the 150th anniversary of Donetsk, the press service added.

In 2018, Donbass Post issued 19 standard stamps, 22 art stamps, 16 commemorative blocks, one strip of stamps and 38 envelopes. It also presented the first catalogue of DPR franking notes.*jk
