Donetsk, Feb 17 - DAN. The Donbass Post state-owned enterprise will put in circulation a postcard with an original stamp marking Defender of the Fatherland Day, the company’s press service reported on Wednesday.

“Red Army Day, Soviet Army Day, Soviet Army and Navy Day or Defender of the Fatherland Day is a holiday which is just around the corner. It will be marked with the issue of a new stamped postcard,” the report said.

It is going to be the first issue in the series devoted to Soviet-era holidays. The new stamp will be on sale at the Stamp Colleting shop located at Donetsk’s Central Post Office starting February 18.

Defender of the Fatherland Day is marked across the post-Soviet space on February 23. It was established in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic as Red Army and Navy Day in 1922. This holiday was abolished in Ukraine.*jk
