Donetsk, Oct 22 - DAN. Ninety new COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Thursday.

Starting from October 15, the daily case rate in the DPR exceeded 100. October 18 was the only exception, when no tests were carried out due to laboratory disinfection.

Forty-eight people have been discharged from hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19, and 19 patients have died since Wednesday, the report said.

The DPR currently has 5,599 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 2,509 people have been discharged from hospitals, 2,686 are undergoing treatment and 404 have died.

Ukraine has reported a record 7,053 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours; 322,879 people have got infected and 6,043 have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.

Earlier on Thursday, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said that Russia would pass medical equipment and medications worth 258 million rubles ($3,361,563) to the Donetsk People’s Republic  in October for diagnosing and treating the coronavirus infection.*jk
