“Due to the ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People’s Republic on the DPR accession to the Russian Federation and the establishment of a new region, the state border between the RF and the DPR acquires the status of administrative border between the subjects of the Russian Federation beginning from 00:00 on the day which follows the day of signing of the appropriate law by the president of the Russian Federation, ” the Ministry said.
Thus, the checkpoints on the administrative border will stop customs control and customs operations at 00:00 on the day which follows the day of signing of the above law.
Earlier reports on Tuesday said that the Federation Council upper house of the Russian parliament had approved the federal constitutional law “On the Accession of the Donetsk People’s Republic to Russia and Establishment of a New Federal Subject — Donetsk People’s Republic.” *jk
