Donetsk, Aug 4 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic medics have found coronavirus infection in the samples taken from 44 people over the past two days; of those, 16 arrived from the Ukraine-held territory, the DPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“Forty four COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed; these include 16 people who arrived from Ukraine on July 20 and 27,” the report said. “Two arrivals from Russia also tested positive.”
The figures account for the past two days; the laboratory was closed on August 2 for sanitizing.
As of Tuesday, the Republic had 1,829 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 854 people have recovered, 868 are undergoing treatment and 107 have died, according to the DPR Healthcare Ministry.
Ukraine reported 1,061 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. In Ukraine, 74,219 people have tested positive for coronavirus infection since the beginning of the pandemic and 1,764 have died.*jk*pp
