Donetsk, Jun 13 - DAN. The boy wounded in western Donetsk shelling on 4 June remains in critical but stable condition with a tendency to satisfactory, medics said on Tuesday.
“There’s no threat to the boy’s life, but a possibility of very serious complication still exists,” DPR Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital chief doctor Sergey Markov told Donetsk News Agency.
The child is conscious,” Markov said, adding that the boy, assisted by medics, tries to get of bed. A precise recovery prognosis can be available by the end of the week, when at least 11 days have passed after surgery.
“If things go well, the boy will have speedy recovery,” the chief doctor said.
On 4 June evening, Ukrainian forces opened mortar fire at Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district. A civilian was killed in the shelling and her eight-year-old son was wounded. Medics later said the child had suffered shrapnel wound to his stomach, thigh and finger. *jk
