Donetsk, Nov 22 – DAN. The interministerial commission for search of missing persons has exhumed nine more victims of Ukrainian agression from a mass grave in Gornoye, Kharzisk.
The DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova told DAN that all the exhumed bodies "bear signs of violent death".
The victims are believed to be local civilians who were killed in 2014 Ukrainian offensive against Ilovaisk.
"Kharzisk was at the time the closest town to Ilovaisk where a morgue was operating, and the road towards the town was safe. That is why some bodies were taken here. Unidentified victims were numbered and buried here as well."
"It has been established that an ambulance evacuating an injured man came under Ukrainian fire. The vehicle and everyone inside burnt," the head of the search group Oksana Solyonaya said, quoted by the commission.
The Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic set up their inter-departmental working groups on the search for burial sites of Ukrainian aggression victims, their identification and perpetration of their memory on July 20 and August 6, respectively. The DPR’s Commission is led by ombudswoman Daria Morozova. The Commission is responsible for organizing the search for the missing persons, composing a register of the missing, gathering information on them, creating a database of the missing and deceased and their relatives, coordinating exhumation efforts, carrying out identification of bodies and handing them over to relatives. *ot
