Donetsk, Feb 6 - DAN. Some 11,000 customers across the Donetsk People’s Republic were left without electricity because of bad weather, the DPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“On Wednesday, adverse weather caused power outages affecting 1,701customers in ten villages in the Shakhtyorskiy district, 2,535 customers and six social infrastructure facilities in Shakhtyorsk’s Davydovka township, 477 customers in the Molodyozhnoye settlement and 236 customers in the Timofeyevka, Stryukovo and Dimitrovo villages,” the report said..
On top of that, bad weather left without power 1,428 customers in apartment houses and detached homes in Yasinovataya and its outskirts, 2,670 in the Strobeshevskiy district, 770 in Amvrosiyevskiy district, 152 in Telmanovskiy district and 389 in the Krasny Partizan village, Yasinovatskiy district.
In Gorlovka, 854 customers of apartment houses and and six electrical substations were left without power.
The DPR Emergencies Ministry said that strong wind gusts and heavy snowfall had damaged transmission lines. Repairs are due to begin on Thursday.*jk
