Donetsk, Aug 24 - DAN. The number of Russian passport holders in the Donetsk People’s Republic of the full legal age approximates 250,000, the DPR Interior Ministry’s Migration Service told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The number of residents over 18 years of age who have obtained Russian passports amounted to 221,850 as of August 20, 2021,” the Migration Service said.
In Russia, the minimum age to vote in parliamentary election is set at 18. Russia will hold the election to the 8th State Duma (parliament) on September 19, 2021. Russian citizens living in the Donbass Republics can vote online on September 17-19 using the government services portal. Prior to voting they have to get their Individual Insurance Account Number (SNILS) at the portal.
Reports in July said that the overall number of DPR residents who had been granted Russian citizenship had exceeded 282,000.*jk
