Donetsk, Oct 27 - DAN. Seventy-seven people went through the Novotroitskoye-Yelenovka crossing point on October 26 as it reopened as humanitarian corridor, the Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“Twenty-one vehicles and 44 people entered the DPR, and 22 vehicles and 33 people went to Ukraine,” the report said.
The Novotroitskoye-Yelenovka crossing point is located on the contact line south of Donetsk. Currently, it is the only link between the DPR and Kiev-controlled territory. Traffic via the crossing point is restricted due to the extensive spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine.
There are four car checkpoints on the contact line: in the Gorlovka and Donetsk areas and in the south of the Republic.*jk
