70 ammo rounds in an hour: Kiev army keeps pounding Donetsk axis

Donetsk, Feb 17 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired more than 70 grenades and mortar and infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds at Donetsk and its outskirts in an hour, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Wednesday.

Twenty BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds and 20 automatic grenade launcher rounds were fired at the Shakhta Abakunova settlement in the western outskirts of Donetsk at 18:05.  Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled Krasnogorovka settlement.  At 18:30, two 82mm mortar rounds were fired at the Luganskoye village from the Slavnoye settlement.

The JCCC earlier reported that Kiev army units fired 30 rounds of ammunition including 21 mortar rounds at the Signalnoye and Luganskoye settlements at 17:30 and 17:35.*jk
