Donetsk, Apr 5 — DAN. A regional branch of the all-Russia social organization “Union of Fathers” has been established in the Donetsk People’s Republic, DPR Education and Science Minister Olga Koludarova said on Wednesday.
“The DPR’s Union of Fathers has held its first meeting. It brings together more than 50 activist fathers from across the Republic, ” Koludarova wrote on Telegram. “They discussed aims and goals of the social organization and the projects implemented in Russian regions.”
The main objective of the organization is to bring up patriotic young people with pro-active attitude, she added. The participants elected the chairman and secretary and mapped out short-term plans.
Union of Fathers is an all-Russia social organization with the mission to support families and family values. It numbers more than 13,000 activists in about 50 Russian regions. The organization website says that any person over 18 years of age can join the Union. Fatherhood is not a must; this knowledge can come useful in the future. The organization welcomes volunteer activities to promote responsible parenthood.*jk
