Donetsk, Apr 10 - DAN. The "Donetsk Republic" social organisation has arranged and carried out nearly 800 discussions of the Republic’s development strategy since early March which involved more than 48,00 residents, DR Central Executive Committee chairwoman Natalia Volkova said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“As of April 10, 784 events have been arranged in the framework of the Power of Donbass Strategy; they were attended by 48,045 people,” Volkova said.
They included 27 large events, 358 community gatherings and 128 discussions at enterprises; 271 residents were received at DR branches across the Republic, she added.
At Donetsk Republic’s March 1 conference, its chairman, DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko called for drawing a long-term DPR development strategy and its broad public discussion. The project was named the Power of Donbass. DPR development proposals are expected to make the basis of Zakharchenko’s election programme. The Donetsk News Agency website hosts Donetsk Republic’s polls to gather residents’ recommendations concerning the development strategy. *jk
