Donetsk, Aug 20 - DAN. Forty-one new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Thursday.

“August 19 tests revealed 41 new COVID-19 cases; one of the infected arrived from Ukraine and two from the Russian Federation,” the report said.

The others, including 13 medics, caught COVID-19 due to earlier contacts with the infected.  Twenty-five people have been discharged from hospitals with two negative tests since Wednesday.

The DPR currently has 2,188 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 1,096 patients have convalesced, 970 are undergoing treatment and 122 have died, according to the Healthcare Ministry.

Ukraine, with 98,537 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of August 20, reported 2,134 new cases over the past 24 hours. *jk
