Donetsk, Oct 26 - DAN. Two hundred and forty-four people from Kiev-held areas used the Yelenovka humanitarian corridor to arrive in the Donetsk People’s Republic on October 25, the Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
Forty-one vehicles crossed into the DPR, and 141 people and 33 cars went to Ukraine, the press service said.
The humanitarian corridor operates at the Yelenovka crossing point south of Donetsk. It is currently the only link between the DPR and Kiev-held areas. It operates on Mondays and Fridays. The operation of other crossing points was suspended due to the threat of spread of the coronavirus infection.
Residence registration in Ukraine is required to exit the DPR; to enter the Republic, visitors have to obtain a permit from the DPR COVID-19 crisis headquarters. *jk
