Donetsk, Feb 10 – DAN. Thirty-eight thousand DPR residents have signed the petition to the Russian, US and German leaders asking them to stop the Donbass bloodshed; the campaign is ongoing, the Republic’s parliament press service told Donetsk News Agency.
“As of today, two parliament factions, Donetsk Republic and Free Donbass, have collected 38,000 signatures of DPR residents in support of the appeal,” the press service said.
No deadlines have been set for signature collection, but population’s robust support for the parliament’s initiative is appreciated, it said.
On Thursday, a report said all DPR parliament deputies joined the signature collection campaign. They are meeting with residents at enterprises, educational and social institutions, executive bodies and hospitals to bring home the significance of the document and the population’s involvement.
On 31 January, DPR and LPR People’s Councils chairmen Denis Pushilin and Vladimir Degtyarenko brought forward a joint petition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel asking them to make Ukrainian leadership stop the Donbass genocide.*jk
