Donetsk, Apr 24 - DAN. The Donetsk Republic social movement has arranged and carried out more than 3,000 discussions of the Republic’s development strategy since early March involving over 350,000 residents, DR Central Executive Committee chairwoman Natalia Volkova said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“As of April 23, 2018, 3,216 events had been arranged in the framework of the Power of Donbass Strategy; they were attended by 350,201 people,” Volkova said.
Donetsk Republic held 31 public discussions, 2,444 meetings at enterprises, 378 community gatherings, and 363 receptions of residents at DR branches across the Republic, she added.
At Donetsk Republic’s March 1 conference, its chairman, DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko called for drawing a long-term DPR development strategy and its broad public discussion. The project was named the Power of Donbass. DPR development proposals are expected to make the basis of Zakharchenko’s election programme. The Donetsk News Agency website hosts Donetsk Republic’s polls to gather residents’ recommendations concerning the development strategy. *jk
