Donetsk, Jun 10 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic registry offices have recorded 3,500 births since the beginning of this year, the DPR Justice Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“The Republic’s registry offices have made 3,444 birth entries recording 1,780 male births and 1,664 female births in the period from January 1 to June 9, 2021, the press service reported.
Donetsk’s Kirovsky district accounted for the highest birth rate (270 newborns).
On June 8, the fifth child was born to a family in the town of Kirovsk, and the seventh child was born to a family in Donetsk’s Proletarsky district, the press service said.
Earlier reports said that in 2020, the Republic issued 8,524 certificates for newborns, including 4,446 for baby boys. Babies were born to more than 30 large families last year.*jk
