Donetsk, Dec 12 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic lawyers have been taking qualification examinations to obtain the right to practice their profession within the Russian legal system, the DPR Justice Ministry reported on Monday.
“Examination commissions consisting of representatives of the Justice Ministry and the Federal Chamber of Lawyers work in the Republic. Late last week, the persons who wish to practice law took a qualification examination, ” the Ministry said adding that 272 candidates had passed the test.
The successful candidates who have taken the lawyer’s oath will receive their Lawyer ID card according to the established procedure, the Ministry said.
On December 8, a draft law on establishing courts in the DRP and LPR was submitted to the State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament. In November, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for integrating the new regions in the Russian justice system within a short time.*jk
