Donetsk, Jul 28 - DAN. Twenty-one new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, DPR medics have diagnosed 21 new COVID-19 cases,” the report said.
Five people who tested positive for COVID-19 came from the Ukraine-controlled territory on July 17. The others had previously had contacts with the infected. The patients’ condition is satisfactory; they are receiving necessary treatment, the DPR Healthcare Ministry said.
Twenty-eight people have been discharged from hospitals after negative tests since Monday. Two people have died in the designated period.
As of Tuesday morning, the Republic had 1,669 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 775 people have recovered, 795 are undergoing treatment and 99 have died, according to the DPR Healthcare Ministry.
Ukraine reported 919 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. In Ukraine, 66,575 people tested positive for coronavirus infection since the beginning of the pandemic and 1,629 have died.*jk*pp
