2,000 trees, shrubs to be planted in Donetsk

Donetsk, Mar 13 - DAN. Some 2,000 trees and shrubs and more than 450 rosebushes will be planted in Donetsk as part of the urban landscaping project in the period from March 12 till May 7, the city administration press service said on Tuesday.

“As part of the two-month greening project, 951 trees, 932 shrubs and 453 rosebushes will be planted,” an administration official said.

Over the designated period, 800 children’s playgrounds and sport courts and 500 public transport stops will be repaired and repainted, and 35 monuments will be upgraded.

Earlier reports said that the two-month urban landscaping project would run from March 12 till May 7 and that it would include three countrywide voluntary cleanup actions on March 24, April 21 and May 5.*jk
