Donetsk, Mar 19 - DAN. Some 185,000 trees, bushes and flowers will be planted across the Donetsk People’s Republic in a two-month landscaping action, DPR Construction and Housing and Utilities Minister Sergey Naumets said on Tuesday.

“Pursuant to DPR Head Denis Pushilin’s order, DPR towns and districts launched a two-month landscaping effort on March 18,” Naumets said. “Utility companies will plant more than 20,000 trees and bushes and 165,000 flowers and seed some 24,000 square metres of lawns, well in excess of last year targets.”

The DPR plans to remove litter from streets, pavements and house yards and clean up more than 8,000 square metres of park and square space. Repairs on children’s playgrounds and sport grounds will be carried out as well, he added.

Earlier reports said that the DPR's two-month community development action would last till May 14. On April 6 and 20, the Republic will hold neighbourhood cleanups.*jk*pp
