Donetsk, Dec 14 — DAN. Nearly all fighters of the Donetsk People’s Republic who have returned from Ukrainian captivity since the beginning of the special military operation were called up to the frontline as part of mobilization, DPR ombudsperson Darya Morozova told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.

“One hundred and thirty-five DPR defenders have returned from Ukrainian captivity since the beginning of the special operation; almost all of them were called up in the course of mobilization, ” Morozova said.

She said that 104 DPR servicemen were already in the Republic and that the others were undergoing treatment at hospitals in Russian regions.

Moscow and Kiev exchanged 60 and 50 POWs each in the two latest swaps on December 6 and December 1. In November and October, the sides exchanged prisoners-of-war according to the formulae: “9 for 9” on November 25, “50 for 50” on November 24, “35 for 35” on November 23, “107 for 107 on November 3, ‘50 for 50’ on October 29, and ‘110 for 110’ on October 17.
