Donetsk, Feb 17 - DAN. Donetsk National University has confirmed that the training it provides meets Russian education standards across all fields of study. Donetsk People’s Republic Education and Science Minister Mikhail Kushakov handed in the certificate, issued by Russia’s Rospotrebnadzor education watchdog, to a university representative on Wednesday.
"Donetsk National University has completed Russian state accreditation in all fields of study,” Kushakov told reporters.” The training it offers is fully based on Russian education standards and programmes.”
Russian accreditation certificates were also handed in to the administrations of the Donetsk College of Restaurant Business and Trade and the Donetsk College of Chemical Technology and Pharmacy.
“After passing the Russian state accreditation process, our education institutions will issue Russian-style diplomas along with DPR diplomas which are recognized in Russia,” he noted.
Another three universities are undergoing state accreditation at present; two general education centres are ready to submit document for accreditation and about ten have begun to prepare documents, Kushakov said.
The Donetsk National Technical University reportedly passed the first of the three accreditation stages at Rosobrnadzor earlier this month. It became the fifth university in the DPR to obtain accreditation from the Russian supervisor. Previously, Rospotrebnadzor certified the Donetsk National University, M. Gorky Donetsk National medical University, Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Donetsk National University of Economy and Trade named after Tugan-Banarnovsky.*jk
