Donetsk, Sep 21 — DAN. Donbass, after 3,000 days of armed struggle against the criminal Kiev regime, is returning home — to Russia, Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin said in a video address on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his video address that Russia would do everything for the referendum in the DPR, the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to be safe.
“We’ve been fighting for 3,000 days for the right to be a part of Russia, ” Pushilin said. “Today, the president confirmed in his address that Russia is with Donbass, that Russia is with us.”
Pushilin’s video address was recorded in Heroes Alley in Donetsk’s Lenin Komsomol Park which accommodates monuments to fallen DPR heroes.
“Behind my back are heroes who fought and gave their lives for our common goal. They are Alexander Zakharchenko, Givi, Motorola, Vokha, Korsa, Mamai and many others who dreamed of this day to come. And this day is coming. The referendum at which we’ll make our choice will take place from September 23 to September 27, ” the DPR leader said.,
On September 23-27, the Donetsk People’s Republic will hold the referendum over joining the Russian Federation. The DPR will reportedly use mixed voting.*jk
