Donetsk, Jul 2 – DAN. DPR Head Denis Pushilin has warded the title of DPR Hero of Labor to a Russian lawmaker, member of the United Russia faction Gennady Onishchenko.
The awards ceremony took place in the Donetsk State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
The political expressed his gratitude to the Republic saying that "everything related to Donbass deserves to be commendable".
"I am grateful for the appreciation I received in Donetsk," Onishchenko said.
Onishchenko was the Chief Sanitary Inspector of Russia from 1996 to 2014. He is a member of the Russian State Duma since 2016 and co-author of at least 18 legislative initiatives and amendments to draft federal laws. He is best known as an advocate of healthy lifestyle and anti-alcohol campaigns. *ot
