Donetsk, May 16 – DAN. The All-Russia competition for schoolchildren "The Big Shift" has been presented today at a teleconference of representatives of the DPR, LPR and the Russian Federation.
The Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Public Projects Sergey Novikov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Vladimir Antonov, ministers, social activists, teachers and schoolchildren of the Republic attended the event.
"The Big Shift" is a whole community of teenagers and educators who are constantly evolving and making the world a better place, ”Pushilin addressed the participants of the teleconference.
"I am happy that already 27,000 children in the DPR are eager to participate."
The Big Change competition is a project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), which is part of the presidential platform "Russia is a Land of Opportunities". It has been held since 2020, in 2021 more than 2.5 million schoolchildren of 5-10 grades and students of 1-3 courses of secondary vocational education institutions from all over Russia took part in it. The main goal of the competition is to give each participant an opportunity to reveal their talents.
There are 12 categories of the competition: science and technology, art and creativity, journalism and new media, volunteering, historical memory, healthy lifestyle, ecology, urban studies, travel and tourism, development of educational technologies, youth entrepreneurship, state defence and security. Among the prizes are vouchers to the Artek International Center, a trip from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, cash prizes and grants for education or a startup. *ot
