Sambek (Rostov region), Nov 11 — DAN. Russia’s federal budget will allocate funds for welfare payments in the Donetsk People’s Republic, chairman of the State Duma (lower house of the Russian parliament) committee on labor, social policy and veterans’ affairs Yaroslav Nilov told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.

“We’ll use the Crimean scenario where special laws were passed to adapt its legal system to the Russian one, ” Nilov said in response to the question about the procedure for recalculating and paying pensions and benefits in the DPR.

The Russian government is currently preparing these law bills. “The budget is already on the agenda; its second reading is expected, ” he said emphasizing that the budget would include welfare funds.

Earlier, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said that the sum of pensions and allowances would remain the same until amendments had been made to federal laws. On July 1, the minimum monthly pension in the Republic increased to 10,000 rubles.  A special pension scheme is envisioned for residents of liberated areas. Follow the link for details.*jk
