Donetsk, Jul 27 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic is ready to pass Russia materials on facts of Kiev’s military aggression against Donbass, for attaching them to the case against Ukraine filed with the European Court of Human Rights, DPR parliamentarian Yelena Shishkina told reporters on Tuesday.
Activists in the Donetsk People’s Republic have been recording Ukraine's war crimes against Donbass citizens for the eighth year; the commission on assessing the economic damage has been operating for three years already, said Shishkina, coordinator of the project for Assistance to the Public Commission on Assessing the Economic Damage Caused by Ukraine.
“We’re ready to pass Russian social organizations and activists the evidence proving Ukrainian authorities' crimes in Donbass, as well as the information on the sum of damage caused to the DPR by these actions,” she said.
On July 22, 2021, the Russian government filed an inter-state complaint against Ukraine with the European Court of Human Rights. The complaint covers ten basic categories of human rights violations by Ukrainian authorities, such as Kiev’s responsibility for civilian casualties, illegal deprivation of freedom and cruel treatment, including in Donbass during the so-called anti-terrorist operation.*jk
