Donetsk, Oct 20 - DAN. DPR expects a batch of two-dose and one-dose Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines, the Republic's Ministry of Health said.
"Another delivery of a two-dose Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine, known under its trademark Sputnik V, and a one-dose Sputnik Light is expected in November 2021," the report reads.
The exact date and amount of the shipment have not been disclosed. Sputnik Light is a single dose COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. It consists of the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine, which is based on the Ad26 vector.
The single dose Sputnik Light vaccine demonstrated 79.4% efficacy according to analysed data taken from 28 days after the injection was administered as part of Russia’s mass vaccination program between 5 December 2020 and 15 April 2021.
The DPR launched immunization of the population on February 1, 2021 using Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines supplied by Russia as part of humanitarian assistance. About 200,000 people have got vaccinated against COVID-19 by late September. *ot
