Donetsk, Nov 8 – DAN. DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova has pointed out inconsistencies of the pardon policy of the Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky saying he makes grants to ATO veterans, but disregards detainees already released to the DPR.

"Yesterday's meeting of the humanitarian subgroup lasted for more than three hours, but by Ukraine's fault, no constructive dialogue happened. Ukrainian negotiators failed to provide any particular information on either of the agenda topics," she added.

Morozova said that Ukraine did not answer her question as to when Zelensky is going to grant pardons to 10 citizens released to the DPR in 2019-2020. Kiev's representatives posited earlier that the applications for pardons had been on the table for half a year.
"Nevertheless, Zelenskiy couldn't find the time to deliver on his obligation within the Minsk process to exonerate people detained in relation to the Donbass conflict. At the same time, nothing prevented him from pardoning more than 30 so-called ATO veterans found guilty of felonies."

During the POW exchanges in 2019-2020 the DPR received 71 people. The sides agreed to carry out the legal clearance of the released persons. Kiev has not delivered on its commitment. *ot
