Donetsk, May 9 – DAN. Donbass stands ready to defend its right for independence and freedom to speak Russian, said DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.
"Ukrainian Bandera and Sukhevich followers are determined to destroy Donbass people, to shatter the Russian world, to impose alien ideology; the enemy has come to our land, and we stood to defend it as our grandfathers and great grandfathers did."
Zakharchenko said that Donetsk is fighting for its freedom and next generations. "For the right to speak native language. To honor our ancestors and traditions. We could sacrifice life for it.
Today's parade is a symbol of our resilience and power. This is a connection of generations and two wars, very different but yet so resembling each other." *ot
