Donetsk, Dec 23 — DAN. The Federation Council upper house of the Russian parliament has supported the candidates for the posts of prosecutor in the new Russian regions who were proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the FC press service reported.
“Senators in the 536th session heard the report on the review of the candidates proposed by the Russian president for regional prosecutor posts, ” the press service said. “All the candidates were approved by the FC dedicated committees.”
The consultations over the candidates were held on Thursday at the joint meeting of the FC committees on constitutional legislation and state development, defense and security, federal structure, regional policies, local self-rule and affairs of the north. The FC committee on constitutional legislation sent the summary of the meeting to the house speaker who will inform the president about the results.
The candidates for prosecutor posts are Gleb Mikhailov (Lugansk People’s Republic), Andrey Spivak (Donetsk People’s Republic), Kirill Osipchuk (Zaporozhye region) and Andrey Petrov (Kherson region).
Earlier reports on Friday said that the representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions delegated to the Federation Council had received their senator ID cards.*jk
