Donetsk, Mar 15 – DAN. The Republics have chosen the path of integration with Russia, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin.
"There is hardly anyone in Crimea who does not sympathize with Donbass. There is hardly anyone in Donbass who does not feel happy for Crimea, the Crimean Spring, and is not friendly envy. Crimea is home, we are on the way. I am sure we will succeed. Our way back home is more complicated, but the outlook is obvious. This is what we want," he said.
"We are getting closer in many ways, we have good relationship with Crimean authorities and other regions, and the integration is generally speeding up."
The DPR Head Denis Pushilin, as well as his LPR counterpart took place in the celebrations of the fifth anniversary since Crimea reunited with Russia that took place today in Siferopol.
The celebration joined five thousand people, including the Crimean Republic Head Sergey Aksenov, Head of the Crimean State Council Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyevka, the Russian State Duma deputies and its chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, politicians from Europe and Kazak activists.
The celebrations took place by the monument to People’s Defense and the rally marched towards the State Council in central Simferopol.
The monument to People’s Defense was erected in Simferopol in 2016 as a symbol of the wars fought by the Russians: Crimean war, the Great Patriotic war, and the Crimean Spring. In 2014, Crimea held a referendum to join Russia as 95 pc of voters chose rejoining the Russian World.*ot
