Donetsk, Feb 11 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has drawn a list of weapons it needs from Russia in case such supplies are approved, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said at a press conference in Donetsk on Friday.
“As for weapons, they wouldn’t be out of place given the amount of weapons delivered to Ukraine at present; they would balance the situation providing support to the Republics from Russia; it would be quite appropriate,” Pushilin said. “For our part, we have drawn the lists of weapons we need from Russia if such a decision is made.”
In late January, “United Russia” Party General Council Secretary, Federation Council First Deputy Speaker Andrey Turchak called for supplying certain kinds of armaments to the Donbass Republics to enhance their defense capability and containing military aggression which Ukraine was obviously preparing. Prominent Russian politicians and activists supported the initiative. *jk
