Donetsk, Oct 3 — DAN. The administrative borders of the DPR as part of Russia coincide with the borders of the former Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine as of 2014, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyevka told DAN.

“The DPR proclaimed independence on April 7, 2014 in the entire Donetsk Oblast. Respectively, as of September 30, 2022, the day of reunification with Russia, the borders of the DPR as part of Russia coincide with the borders of the former Donetsk Oblast as of 2014,” he said.

The draft Federal Constitutional Law on the accession of the DPR to Russia published on Sunday says that the boundaries of the Republic’s territory are defined by its borders as of the day of the accession. The DPR is considered to be part of Russia starting from the day the relevant international agreement was signed, September 30.

The State Duma plans to review the draft law today, October 3. *ot
